Harshaneeyam began as a digital space for Harsha, a tech professional and writer. While traveling globally for an IT firm, Harsha shared his experiences through short, evocative Telugu musings. These reflections on life and the immigrant experience quickly resonated, attracting thousands of followers worldwide.

The Birth of the Podcast

As the community grew, Harsha was joined by two friends—fellow literary enthusiasts in the tech world. Their shared passion for storytelling led them to transform the blog into a full-scale podcast. This shift allowed them to dive deeper into Contemporary Telugu Literature, recording long-form conversations with leading authors and dedicated readers to document the heart of modern Telugu fiction.

A Global Pivot: 56 Letters, 60+ Languages

After two years of focusing on regional excellence, the team turned toward World Literature. They realized that to understand the soul of a work form a foreign land, one must speak to the Translators.

Inspired by the 56 letters of the Telugu alphabet, they set a goal to interview translators from 56 world languages. Today, Harshaneeyam has surpassed that milestone, becoming one of the world’s largest repositories of translator interviews. Today the content includes:

  • 100+ Conversations with elite Translatros from across the world.

  • 60+ Languages represented, from Dutch and Portuguese to Mandarin and Swahili.

  • 50+ Conversations: Featuring Contemporary writers and serious readers of Fiction in Telugu and in English.
